Bamboo Valley

Description: Bamboo Valley International School is a nature-based international kindergarten and primary school in Cherngtalay, set on a 5,600 m² palm plantation. Founded by parents Nutthanit and Marc Schwyn, it runs Waldorf-inspired, outdoor-led learning for children aged 2 to 9 across Nursery, Kindergarten and Primary stages, with most of the day spent outside. Full-day school runs Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:00pm, alongside a parent-and-toddler class, after-school enrichment, Saturday workshops and holiday camps.

Curriculum: A blend of Waldorf education, outdoor nature-based learning and the British curriculum, delivered across three full-day stages: Nursery (2–4), Kindergarten (3–6) and Primary (6–9), with the Primary stage covering the British curriculum. Learning is play-led and largely outdoors, taking in playful phonics, maths, gardening, animal care, baking, yoga and project-based work.

Reputation: A founder-led school positioned as a nature-immersed, Waldorf-inspired alternative to conventional classroom education, with a strong community emphasis of family gatherings and seasonal events on a large outdoor campus.
