Do I Need to Bring Long Clothes to Thailand?
Not really.
There’s no “real” winter here.
Here’s what to know:
- Temperatures rarely drop below 25°C (77°F)
- If it hits 29°C, people start calling it “cool”
- You won’t need coats, sweaters, or boots — ever
BUT — bring one or two long-sleeve outfits anyway:
- Malls are freezing (hello, over-airconditioning)
- Indoor play areas can be chilly
- Planes and airports are also cold
- If you’re traveling to Bangkok, the north, or neighboring countries — it might actually feel like winter
Bottom line:
Pack light, breathable clothes for daily life.
Toss in a hoodie or two — especially for the kids.
Need more? You can always buy a layer here.
